"Hey look at that video of that lady who convinced herself her dog lost preference for meat. Wasn't it hilarious when the dog went for the meat over the vegetables she was feeding him? This just proves that dogs need meat to live."
Humans eat themselves onto the show "My 600-Pound Life". Animals famously will lap up antifreeze to the point where it's used as a popular saying. Is what an organism prefers really indicative of what is good for them? Probably not. So there's not a great correlation between immediate gratification and healthfulness.
Dogs might prefer meat, but that says nothing about dog health - and even less about human health. And neither does the fact that some random vegan once made a bad argument for veganism.
